Redfern Beach

Synopsis

Redfern Beach is a love story between two people from different cultural backgrounds, set in a fish-processing factory.

Max, an islander, works at a fish processing factory, where he locks eyes with the boss’s daughter, Dimitra. Walking home, a co-worker warns Max away from Dimitra and they fight. Max then meets Harry, an older man who helps him with his wounds.

Max needs to choose between money and love. An old bagman gives Max a magic fishing lure. As colour begins to seep into his life, the choice becomes clear.
